Tipperary artist famous for his spectacular murals and artworks seen all around Tipperary

Check this out!
This week on the Local Business Promotion Series I am delighted to be joined by Neil O'Dwyer, a native of Clonoulty but now residing in Tipperary Town.
Neil is an artist who is famous for his spectacular murals and artworks which can be seen in many places around county Tipperary and indeed all over Ireland.
I met Neil as he was completing one of his latest projects, a new Mural commemorating the CJ Kickham Brass Band. It is only when you stand under one of Neil's works that you can truly appreciate the gift and talent that Neil possesses for his work.
Although the Mural was not yet completed, it was absolutely breath-taking and it will be a huge addition to the heart of Tipperary Town once completed.
Neil has worked from his native County Tipperary since the early 1980s (except for four years with Ellis Displays in Adelaide, South Australia).
He paint murals all over Ireland.
His murals and artwork have featured in the press and on national television, in documentaries about renowned sports personalities such as Micheál O Muircheartaigh and the late great Moss Keane.
He has also appeared on The Afternoon Show with a live interview by presenter Blathnaid Ní Chofaigh on RTE TV, and some of his work has also appeared on the ever popular Nationwide and the Late Late Show and in Ann Lane’s publication ’By The Way’, a photographic book about public art in Ireland.
If you are interested in enquiry about Neil's works you can send him and email or a phone call. You can find him on his website murals.ie and after your initial e-mail enquiry or phone call (087-416 55 27).
Neil begins with a meeting where he learns more about your space and your own ideas on subject matter.
At times a client may only have a rough idea of what they might require, but after the initial chat, things are always much clearer.
The design and scaled artwork (with cost estimate) is the next step. He always takes a photograph of the wall with the proposed final imagery superimposed on this, so that you can see what the finished mural will look like.
When you are happy with the final draft and price, the mural is then painted. The process is as straightforward as that.
A lot of the the fun is looking at all options and coming up with something unique and special, which will always be a great conversation piece, and enjoyed by all who see it for many years to come.
A mural should always showcase the clients own individual sense of style.
Neil recently completed a Mural at the Junction Gastrobar in Tipperary Town of Rachel Blackmore that went viral on social media.
You can find Neil on his Instagram Neil on his Instagram and Facebook pages: Irish Murals.
As well as painting murals all over Ireland, Neil also offers people the opportunity to commission original Paintings of their own, which might feature a loved one, favourite scene or whatever is desired. He also has some original Paintings and Limited Edition Prints available for purchase on his website: murals.ie
It was wonderful to speak with Neil about his work and the very interesting life that he has led. I wish him the very best for the future in business.
He is a very talented man who is a master of his craft.
