Tipperary Arts Centre car park remains closed following a fire last year
The Source Arts Centre in Thurles is currently undergoing repairs and a consultant's report is expected
Opening the fire-damaged Source car park safely is a priority for the council, according to the district engineer.
Cllr Jim Ryan asked when The Source car park would reopen at last week’s sitting of the Thurles-Templemore Municipal District Council.
The car park has been closed for a year due to a fire in the basement last September. District Engineer Thomas Duffy said a consultant has been appointed and they are awaiting a report.
He said there were issues associated with the fire and their priority is to open safely to the public.
