Tipperary-based artist releases new single as an ode to the summer

Darran Bourke has released his latest single, "Summer Nights".

The North Tipperary-based singer releases the track off the back of his success with his last song, "Forever and Amen".

Speaking on the song, Darran said: "This song was written about my memories of those hot summer nights playing gigs and going to gigs. Driving those warm nights with the windows down and the music turned up, hanging out with friends and dancing with that first love till the early hours."

"Great memories and experiences throughout my life so far and very much alive in young people today but also in all ages still, we never grow too old," he said.

"I wrote this song a number of years ago and recorded it back in 2021 but never released it. After singing with Irish country singer Clodagh Lawlor, when she heard the song she asked to record it herself and went on to release it in 2022," he added.

"This year I felt it was time for me to finally release it myself."
