Tipperary blood donors encouraged to support two local clinics this week

Blood donation clinics will take place in Cappawhite and Newport
Tipperary blood donors are being urged to support two local clinics taking place this week to help maintain blood supplies.
A blood donation clinic will take place in Cappawhite on Wednesday, April 16 from 4.50pm to 8.10pm at the Cappawhite Community Centre.
Elsewhere in Newport, a blood donation clinic will also take place.
The Newport blood donation clinic will take place on Thursday, April 17 at Newport Community Centre, running from 4.50pm until 8.10pm.
The Irish Blood Transfusion Service (IBTS) have said that 65% of blood donated in Ireland is used to support cancer patients.
"Every donation counts in helping save lives and ensuring hospitals have the blood they need. We need both new and returning blood donors to step up and give," the IBTS said.
"Former UK residents are now eligible to donate, and your contribution can make a real difference."
