Shaun Brady will have a breakfast named after him at this year's Kansas City Irish Fest

For years, chef Shaun Brady served hundreds of Kansas City Irish Fest visitors a traditional Irish breakfast.

Shaun’s life was tragically cut short last year when he was killed outside his restaurant.

This year, the festival will bring back the Irish breakfast with a new name to honour Shaun’s memory.

The Brady Brunch will feature an Irish breakfast prepared by Inspired Occasions and Graham Farris, formerly of Shaun’s restaurant, Brady & Fox.

The breakfast will include Shaun’s 100-year-old scone recipe along with unlimited beverages, including beer, Bloody Marys, Irish coffee, coffee, soda and water.

The breakfast will take place from 11am to 1pm on August 31.

Irish breakfast tickets do not include admission tickets to the festival.

The festival promotes Irish music, dance and culture, and runs from August 29 to 31 at Kansas City’s Crown Centre.

Tickets for the Irish breakfast and the festival are available here.

Shaun, a native of County Tipperary, was a long-time supporter of the festival.

Besides serving breakfast, he also taught cooking classes.
