Landowners are reminded of their obligations to the public

Tipperary County Council have issued a notice to landowners in the Premier County to remind them of their maintenance obligations.

The council say that landowners are required to make sure trees, shrubs, ditches, hedges and other vegetation do not become a danger to those using public roads.

Landowners must fell, cut, log, trim or remove such trees, ditches and hedges that present a hazard to the public.

They say that if anyone wants to report a structure, tree or hedge adjoining a public road which is considered to be dangerous, please contact the Customer Services Department on 0818 06 5000 or by email at [email protected].
