Tipperary gardaí are investigating a 'serious incident' in this lakeside village

What is being described by gardaí in Tipperary as “a serious incident” occurred in Portroe in the early hours of last Sunday morning.

A property was damaged during the course of burglary in the parish.

A male was later arrested and charged in relation to the incident.
