Tipperary gardaí intercept four vehicles travelling well over the posted speed limit

Tipperary Roads Policing Unit began monitoring speed compliance in a 50km/h zone in the East Clare, Tipperary North District on Saturday.

The first four vehicles intercepted were detected travelling well over the posted speed limit with one almost double the speed limit.

Fixed charge notices have been issued.

Gardaí said: "Please allow extra time for your journey and slow down."
