10. Cian Darcy (Kilruane MacDonaghs) Having made his name as an inside forward with an eye for goals, Darcy was re-invented this year in a more withdrawn role which bore serious fruit for Kilruane. He found space that he so often thrives in and was another top performer in their early season excellence. Operating at midfield for the North Tipp Miller Shield team in recent weeks, he seems to have found a long-term fix on the team sheet.

11. Jack Shelly (Mullinahone) A fantastic first year back at the top tier of Tipp club hurling for Mullinahone was spearheaded greatly by the influence of Jack Shelly. Operating between half and full forward lines, Shelly was a constant menace for opposition and carried a real scoring threat, with his 2-5 haul against Toomevara in the final group game really catching the eye. A worthy inclusion on the team.

12. Eddie Ryan (Borris-Ileigh) As far as debut years at senior level goes, Eddie Ryan couldn't have made a better fist of it! The Borris-Ileigh youngster lit up the championship for his side, and such was the esteem he held in his first year, he took over free taking duties and was on point in every game. But, it's not just his free taking ability, as his all round play was clear to see as he exuded class and confidence on the ball at all times. A real talent that has a big future ahead of him.

13. John McGrath (Loughmore Castleiney) Another man in the same echelon as the Maher's, John McGrath produced the most ridiculous run of high quality performances in the last few weeks and months. He was laden down with man of the match performances throughout the knockout stages in both codes, and was a nightmare for every defence he came up against, registering some outrages individual tallies in the process. A John McGrath in form like this is an extremely exciting prospect for Tipp supporters with 2022 on the horizon.
