2. Eoghan Connolly Rating: 7/10 Connolly took his chance on Saturday with both hands and put in a good performance. He was very combative and let every Waterford forward know where they were when they came into his area. Positive performance with options in that position limited.

3. Bryan O'Mara Rating: 8/10 Named at number three again, but like a lot of the backs on the day they followed their men around the pitch. Found himself at half back for the majority and looks like a man that can excel anywhere from two to seven. A big player for Tipp in 2023.

4. Johnny Ryan Rating: 7/10 Another very accomplished outing for the Arravale Rovers man. He is incredibly tenacious in the tackle and looks very composed with ball in hand, taking multiple short puckouts. One of the bolters for championship.

5. Michael Breen Rating: 7/10 Followed Stephen Bennett all over the pitch and probably ended up beside him in the Waterford dressing room at half time! Really curtailed the Waterford forward and looked assured wherever he ended up on the pitch. Needs to keep his head as a kick out at Bennett could have ended in red. Again, needs to sharpen up his use of the ball but continues to bed into the back line nicely.
