Well done!

A local Tipperary graduate has successfully completed an Earn & Learn apprenticeship.

The three-year programme, which enables apprentices to earn a full-time salary, whilst studying remotely for a BA Honours Degree in Insurance Practice, is calling all prospective apprentices to apply for the next cycle, kickstarting September 2024.

It attracts a diverse audience - school leavers, new graduates, career changers and older learners – and creates a vital pipeline of talent, with a recent survey of previous graduates revealing that 91% are still working in the insurance sector.

Zach O’Halloran from Tipperary, who now works in Commercial Sales for Arachas in Tipperary Town, came to the apprenticeship straight from his Leaving Cert at 18 years of age, thanks to the recommendation of his school guidance councillor.

He knew he wanted to start earning and after only three months out of school, he was on a full-time salary and working towards his Degree, which he graduated from in 2020.

As he worked his way up through the ranks he is now in a much better financial and career place than his college-going peers.

He has the support and guidance of his boss and mentor, Limerick Institute of Insurance President, Daniel Hennessy, and is thriving in the insurance industry.

The Insurance Practitioner Apprenticeship, a three-year programme, which enables apprentices to earn a full-time salary, whilst studying remotely for a BA Honours Degree in Insurance Practice, is calling all prospective apprentices to apply for the next cycle, kickstarting September 2024.

Anyone interested in applying for this year’s programme can log on to www.earnandlearn.ie to find all the information they need, including locations of the jobs available, how to apply and entry requirements.
