Rest in Peace
The death occurred unexpectedly at his residence on Friday, March 10 of Paddy Curtin, late of Coleraine.
He was a native of Newcastle, Clonmel and after spending some years working in England where he met his future wife Ann Ryan from Glenbreeda, Borrisoleigh he returned to Ireland and came to reside in our parish about 1970.
His life was devoted to working on the land. He was a popular member of the farming community.
He loved the outdoor life and was a member of the Dualla Gun Club and Shamrock Sports Club. Down through the years he was a valued member of the community and a great supporter of local events.
He enjoyed social dancing and on the Sunday night before his death he attended his weekly night of entertainment in Fethard ballroom meeting old friends.
He had reached the age of 89 and his sudden passing was a source of shock for his family, neighbours and friends. Paddy was predeceased by his wife Ann who died in 2002 and by his sister May Fitzpatrick, Newcastle.
On Saturday 11 March his remains were reposing at Devitts Funeral Home Cashel and on the following day removed to the Church of Our Lady of Fatima Dualla for his requiem mass celebrated by Fr Joe Egan PP.
