Let's Talk takes place in Monard, and will see Tipp native Alan Quinlan as the main speaker

A talk is organised in Tipperary to provide information about the local services available for anyone who might be struggling with their mental health.

Let's Talk will take place in Monard, and will see former Munster and Ireland rugby player, and Tipperary native Alan Quinlan opening up as the main speaker on the night.

Katie from Spin South West will host an emotional, question-and-answer style show, and attendees will also hear from Limerick Treaty Suicide Prevention, C-SAW, HUGG, and many more.

Organisers of the talk say it is open to anyone who is struggling with their mental health, or anyone who is supporting somebody else, because it's "it’s so important that we lift each other up, especially during the tough times," the organisers said in a post on social media.

"We want to show everyone in our community that support is here—we are here, and it's real, it's available, and you're never alone. Whether you’re dealing with mental health challenges or simply need a place to listen, this talk will offer guidance, understanding, and the resources you need.

"Our community hall is here for you all. The most important objective of this talk is to provide actual, practical information about local and free services that are available to everyone in our village and to our friends. This includes services like free counseling, tailored to both the young and the old. We will be sharing a wealth of information, all from local services that are suited to our community's needs. This vital information will be available in leaflets for everyone to take home," they said.

The event aims to help break down the stigmas associated with mental health, and remind each other that it's okay to reach out for help.

The event takes place on April 23 at 7.30pm in Monard Community Hall.
