A Tipperary school has congratulated students who recently undertook national lifeguard training at the school.

Rockwell College congratulated students Robert Hayde, Colm O’Mahony, Hannah Dalzell, Ian Ryan and Marcus Thompson, who each successfully completed the National Inland Open Water Lifeguard Award at the Rockwell College lake on April 17.

"Despite a chilly April day, all five students performed exceptionally well, demonstrating focus, resilience, and strong lifesaving skills in their individual assessments" said the school.

"Rockwell is delighted to offer students the opportunity to achieve this nationally recognised qualification, an important life skill that promotes safety, confidence, and personal responsibility in open water environments.

"Well done to all involved on this fantastic achievement."
