We were delighted to honour our 11 Munster Minor Final Hurling champions in school today.

What a special day it was. TY student Denis Brolan played the bagpipes and led the boys into the James O'Donoghue Sports Hall to the delight of parents, students and staff.

Tiarnan Ryan of Holycross carried the John Doyle Cup to the stage, followed by Euan Murray, Toby Corbett, Ryne Bargary, Cillian Minogue, Leelan Donohue, Conor Kennedy, Killian Cantwell, Kieran Rossiter, Jack Cahill and Kyle O'Dowd. John Doyle's great grandson's Zach O'Keeffe, third year and Harry Sheppard, second year, were there today also, and we captured lovely photos of them with the beautiful cup.placeholder image

Thanks to John O'Loughlin for the fabulous photos, as always. Mr Kelly welcomed everyone to the event.

Unfortunately, our first years were away, but having lots of fun in Emerald Park in Meath, and our TYs had finished up yesterday.

It was an occasion they would have enjoyed. Mr Kelly spoke about the boy's journey with Tipperary this year and over the past few years, their school journey and their wonderful clubs.

He thanked their parents for all the support. Mark O'Gorman and Daniel Byrne provided beautiful entertainment. Mark sang the Galty Mountain Boy and Slievenamon beautifully.placeholder image

Killian Cantwell spoke on behalf of the boys to thank to their families, their friends and the school for all the support over the past few years.

Killian recalled winning Munster titles and county titles with the school and of training together since first year and the bonds they had built up together. Mr O'Donnell rounded off the ceremony before the boys enjoyed refreshments with staff and their families.
