Tipperary school welcomes their first year class of 2023

The Ursuline was thrilled to welcome its newest cohort of students on Friday, August 25.

At the beginning of the day the First Years met with Principal, Ms Gleeson and their class tutors, who welcomed them with great enthusiasm to Secondary School.

Their tutors showed them how to navigate between subject classes and specialist rooms.

They got to see all the facilities and learn about the variety of extra-curricular activities on offer to them at lunchtime and after school and how to sign up for these.

There was plenty of fun laid on in the afternoon by the PE Department with games like snatch the bacon, birthday line-up, relays, rob the nest and rabbits and rats, giving students an opportunity to get to know others in their class and year group.

An ice-cream rounded the first day off nicely and sweetly for them and hopefully dispelled any worries about making the move from primary to post-primary school.
