Adrian O'Brien will not continue in his role for the 2025 season

Tipperary football will be without one of the top Strength and Conditioning coaches in Ireland as it is believed that Adrian O'Brien has stepped aside from his role ahead of 2025.

With strong indications that Philly Ryan will take the reins of the Tipperary senior football job in the coming weeks, it was hoped that O'Brien would continue in his role as he was brought in as a County Board appointment, rather than a part of the ticket with former boss Paul Kelly.

But it looks like the Kilmallock native has moved in and it will be another blow for the big ball in the county after a desperately poor 2024 campaign.

The appointment of former Tipperary minor and Clonmel Commercials manager Philly Ryan is yet to be confirmed by Tipperary GAA but it is understood that he is currently populating his backroom team and, once that is finalised, he is set to be officially announced.
