Tipperary special needs school prepares for exciting two-day fundraiser

Scoil Chormaic, Cashel, is gearing up for the event on June 13 and 14
Life at Scoil Chormaic Cashel is about to get even busier as staff and students prepare for an exciting and ambitious two-day fundraiser set to take place on June 13 and 14.
This initiative aims to raise vital funds to upgrade the schools existing buses, adding a ramp to provide wheelchair accessibility, ensuring inclusivity for all.
Bop For Our Buses was launched at Scoil Chormaic recently and promises to be a fun filled and exciting two days for participants.
There was great excitement for the launch, as staff, students and guests, outlined details of what will be a really unique event.
Pat O'Donoghue from Cashel Rugby Club was present along with Tipp FM radio personality Johnny Luby, all lending their support for this event, with the purpose of raising vital funding to make their buses more accessible.
The event will be held over two days with the main event taking place at Cashel Rugby Club on the second day.
Day one, June 13, promises a celebration of movement.
The school community will be buzzing with energy as students and staff participate in a dynamic day of movement.
The event will showcase various types of dance and exercise ensuring a fun filled experience, packed with laughter and enthusiasm.
This day will set the stage for the main event the following day.
Day two, June 14, Bop For Our Buses continues as the exciting event moves to Cashel Rugby Club for the highly anticipated danceathon.
The challenge is to keep the dance floor active for 12 hours from 11am until 11pm.
Dancers from across the county are expected to join in bringing their unique styles, from waltzing to freestyle, and keeping the energy high on the day.
The organising committee are looking for individuals to give 15 mins of their time to take to the floor for a bit of fun, while raising vital funds for the school buses.
The school is calling on the support and generosity of the wider community to make this event a success.
Contributions can be made in various ways. Sponsorship cards are available from the school, and these allow individuals to gather donations and participate in the fundraiser.
A GoFundMe page will be in operation and supporters can use a QR code to access the Bop For Our Buses page and make a direct contribution.
Business Sponsorship is also being requested.
While they appreciate the constant demand on local businesses to provide sponsorship, they do hope that businesses will support this worthy cause.
They will also require spot prizes. They will be relying on donations of spot prizes for the Spin and Win segment of the night.
Tea/Coffee/Pastries will be available throughout the day.
This ambitious initiative highlights the strong community spirit of Cashel and surrounding areas, while bringing people together for an outstanding cause.
Every step, spin and shuffle on the dance floor will contribute to making buses accessible for all students, and thereby provide a lasting difference in their daily lives.
