Tipperary students celebrate LGBTQ+ identities as part of national anti-bullying campaign

Stand up awareness week took place in CMCO Thurles last week, with students celebrating LGBTQ+ identities as part of Ireland’s largest LGBTQ+ anti-bullying campaign.
Students showed solidarity with LGBTQ+ youth so they feel seen, heard, safe and to ensure that everyone knows that bi-phobic, homophobic, and transphobic language and bullying will not be tolerated.
Besides some decadent artwork throughout our school that created a festive atmosphere, our Stand Up committee also had a bake sale at break time on Thursday that raised considerable funds for local charities in the Thurles area.
Well done to all involved.
