Tipperary student’s healthy breakfast morning raises funds for Jigsaw

From the Ursuline notes
Thanks to the Sixth Year Amber Flag representatives who organised a healthy breakfast morning for their Year group on Wednesday, October 9.
This event corresponded with World Mental Health Day, which took place on October 10 and highlights the need for everyone to take care of themselves physically, mentally, spiritually and emotionally.
It was a real community effort by the Sixth Years, who supplied all the food, napkins, mugs, bowls and cutlery needed for the event. Scrumptious early morning starters on offer included a wide variety of cereals, fruits, juices, muffins, scones, bagels, brown bread, toast, croissants and tea and coffee.
It was a great opportunity for the girls to sit around, relax and catch up witheach other and a reminder to keep fueled in a healthy way in order to manage the rigorous and demanding year ahead.
Thanks to Amber Flag mentor Ms Loughnane, who organised the breakfast gathering for Sixth Years and to the Fifth Year Amber Flag and Charities Committee members who helped out.
Congratulations to Eimear McCormack, who won the raffle and the proceeds raised by running the event were donated to local youth mental health care service Jigsaw.
