Tipperary to host rare vintage steam engines gathering to raise money for charity

Volunteers will be out collecting funds for essential Irish Wheelchair Association’s services that supports local people with disabilities across Tipperary.
County Tipperary will host some rare vintage steam engines on Tuesday 27 May as part of The Irish Steam Engine Owners Association Road Run 2025, raising funds for Irish Wheelchair Association services in Tipperary and nationwide.
The week-long road run from Kildare to Cork will take place from Saturday 24 May to Friday 30 May, visiting Laois, Kilkenny and Tipperary.
The run will visit Littleton, Horse and Jockey and Cashel on Tuesday 27 May 2025.
Organisers say the stream engines are hoping to bring fun and excitement to their stops over the week. This is a great opportunity to see up to twenty rare vintage vehicles, many over one hundred years old including a Marshall traction engine built in 1908, a Clayton & Shuttleworth Road Locomotive built in 1915, and a Fowler Ten Ton Roller built in 1929.
