Tipperary Town is being held to ransom by Uisce Éireann according to public representative

Constant water outages and reduced pressure events as anger over service mounts
A Tipperary Town public representative has stated that the area is being badly let down by Uisce Éireann following a series of water outages and reduced pressure events.
"Every day for the past few months, large parts of the town have been either without water or have had only a limited supply. This is causing havoc with people's water supply, both in homes and businesses," said Cllr Annemarie Ryan.
"I think what seems to be happening is that the daily reduced pressure is causing issues in a lot of people's houses: when the water is turned down and then comes back, pipes get airlocked. It's unfair on households to have to pay for a plumber to come out and release the pipes, through no fault of theirs," she said.
"I have made a complaint to Uisce Éireann in relation to the ongoing issues of reduced pressure in Tipp Town. I have raised it with Eoin Ó Broin TD, who is going to follow up with Uisce Éireann Irish, as this cannot continue.
It's like a whole town being held to ransom by Irish Water, turning down the pressure every night to allow the reservoir to refill because there are leaks in pipes all over the town.
Where's their urgency to fix this problem?. Homes and businesses are constantly out of water, a disgrace, " said Cllr Ryan.
She called on people to email [email protected], and outline what is happening every day.
"We have to bombard Uisce Éireann at this stage. A town cannot be without water every day with no end in sight and no acknowledgement from Uisce Éireann of the distress they are causing people," she concluded.
