Tipperary transition year students visit Barcelona

Some of our TY students left school late on Monday night to travel to Barcelona. This is the largest group to have traveled on our TY overseas tour.

On Tuesday, the boys enjoyed settling in to the hotel and going on walking and cycling tours around the city.

On Wednesday we visited the beautiful ancient City of Tarragona where we walked through the historic streets and visited the famous amphitheatre.

Following this, we visited MontSerrat and finished the day with a boat trip around the port of Barcelona. On Thursday, we visited Port Aventura theme park.

Our final day included a visit to Parc Guell, followed bya visit to Camp Nou, where the boys enjoyed the New Barca immersive tour and view of construction sight and some shopping in the Official Barcelona shop.

This was followed by a photo stop at the amazing Segrada Familia.

Our trip finished with some shopping in the Splau shopping centre. We arrived back to Thurles at 2am on Saturday morning after a very action packed trip.
