The club had a most enjoyable weekend of walking in Wicklow last weekend.

We were blessed with great weather and breathtaking scenery as we hiked up Djouce, Lugnaquilla, the Sugarloaf and the Spinc loop in Glendalough.

A big thank you to our leaders Margaret and Caitriona for making this such a successful trip for our 29 members that took part.

We are back to our regular walks and this Thursday, April 27, Donie will take us on a 2 hour walk on the Nore Valley, Kilkenny, taking in Kilkenny Castle and grounds afterwards. Registration and further details can be had by contacting Donie on 087-2761442.

There will be no club walk next Sunday, April 30, as The Great Limerick Run is on where you can register online.

Also a reminder of the Slieve Bloom walking festival on April 29, 30 and May 1. All details can be found online.

Our Tuesday evening bypass walks are finishing this Tuesday and we are very grateful to Mary for facilitating these all winter.

Our Tuesday evening Tracks and Trails will be ongoing for the summer beginning in May.

These are very popular with members that cannot get out on Thursdays or Sundays.

Members will be notified each week of details of hikes and more details can be had by messaging Caitriona on 086-8185131.
