Busy night of events planned for Cahir on Culture Night

Celebrating its twentieth anniversary, Culture Night returns on Friday September 19,inviting the public to enjoy culture, creativity, and the arts throughout Tipperary.

This nationwide event, made possible through the continued support of the Arts Council and Local Authorities across Ireland, offers free access to an exciting range of creative and cultural events and activities late into the evening.

Over 40 events are presented by imaginative and dedicated artists, cultural organisations, community groups and volunteers from all corners of Tipperary. From theatre to music, visual arts, poetry, film, artistic workshops, guided tours and live performances, there is plenty to explore and something for all ages.

In Cahir, the Castle will light up by the voices of Cahir to Sing, while Cahir Arts hosts a Clay sculpture workshop and the immersive event “Listening with the Eyes: Art in Response to Messiaen”, which allows you to experience music through both sound and image.

Cahir Comhaltas will be performing traditional music at St Paul’s Church and The Shamrock Lounge.
