A woman who was “highly intoxicated” has been fined by Judge Elizabeth MacGrath at Nenagh District Court.

Jennifer Kavanagh of 1 Hazel Grove, Borrisokane, pleaded to being intoxicated in public at Main Street, Borrisokane, on April 7, 2023.

Her solicitor, Johnny Spencer, said that his client, who had addiction issues in the past, wished to apologise to the gardaí.

Judge MacGrath commented that looking at Ms Kavanagh’s previous five convictions, she may have an underlying issue that needed to be addressed.

She fined Ms Kavanagh €200 and set recognizance in her own bond of €250.
