2. Cathal Barrett Rating: 7/10 Returning to action after missing the Dublin game through illness, the Holycross Ballycahill man was much less prominent than his previous games in the league. The full back line was better with him in it though, as he brings a collective confidence back there.

3. James Quigley Rating: 7/10 Quigley slotted back into the number three jersey and was solid once again. He is not pulling up trees by any means, but he is solid and had a big tussle with Mikey Kiely and held his own.

4. Brian McGrath Rating: 7/10 The youngest McGrath brother shifted out to corner back for this game, and with Waterford set up with two men in their inside line, McGrath was further up the pitch and looked more comfortable. Picked off a lovely point in the first half, but like the rest of his teammates, struggled in the final 20 minutes.

5. Dillon Quirke Rating: 6/10 A very mixed bag for the Clonoulty man. When he has ball in hand he tends to make good use of possession, but too often he looked cumbersome with the ball at his feet as he first touch left a lot to be desired. Needs to sharpen up this part of his game.
