Tributes paid to Tipperary business woman

The Mayor Of Clonmel Cllr Richie Molloy expressed his sadness and shock at the announcement of the sudden passing of a well known Clonmel business woman Geraldine Ambrose, or Ger, as she was known by her many friends far and wide .
The Mayor said his friendship with the late Ger Ambrose goes back to his Junior Chamber Days and indeed he said it was Ger Ambrose who invited him to become a member of the Junior Chamber which was a very active organisation in the town at one time .
Ger Ambrose was a very active member of Junior Chamber and helped and organised such events as the annual Pubs leagues Quiz Competition in Clonmel , Young Entrepreneurs Competition along with other stalwarts of the organisation such as Philipa Dunphy and of course the Late Mary Crotty who sadly passed away at a very young age also .
Ger Ambrose also ran a very successful jewellery business in O' Connell Street and it was a shop very much at the heart of the town with many people simply dropping in for a chat with Ger as you always felt that little bit brighter after meeting her as she was always such a positive person.
The Mayor went to offer his sympathies to her husband Eamon, sister Caroline and brother Robert.
"The loss of Ger Ambrose certainly leaves a very big void in our town," said Mayor Molloy.
