The Technological University of the Shannon: Midlands Midwest (TUS) and Mary Immaculate College are hosting an entrepreneur and innovation programme for young people in Thurles this month.

From June 20-23, the two institutions will run EMPOWER, which helps young people develop creativity, innovation and entrepreneurial skills.

The HEA-funded programme is now in its seventh year and is free to attend. The programme will look at real-life problems and get young people designing solutions

To take part, you must be a current secondary school student (senior cycle TY, fifth and sixth years). Sixth years just finishing this year can also apply.

Registration is a must and can be completed on Eventbrite. All costs are covered, including breakfast, lunch and a bus has been organised for the field trip.
