Uisce Éireann has confirmed that water levels in Cashel are returning to normal levels following repairs.

Water supply is returning to normal levels in Cashel, Tipperary this morning following the successful repair of a mechanical issue at the Springmount Water Treatment Plant and a subsequent major burst on the trunk main from the plant.

The outage impacted customers in Cashel town and the surrounding areas.

Supply is returning to the network, but full restoration will take time. Customers on higher ground or at the end of the network may experience delays.

Pierce Faherty, Uisce Éireann Water Treatment Operations Manager for Tipperary, said, “Normal water supply has been restored for most customers, though those on higher ground or at the end of the network may still experience delays as the network fully recharges. We encourage everyone to continue conserving water, as reservoir levels remain critically low following the outage. We understand the inconvenience caused by an unplanned outage and thank customers for their patience and support.”
