Upgrade of public toilet facilities in Tipperary Town
Town and Village Renewal Scheme
Funding has been approved to refurbish and provide universal access at the public toilets in the Market Yard in Tipperary Town.
"This is a bit of good news for Tipperary Town. Under the Town and Village Renewal Scheme funding has been granted of €250,000 to refurbish and provide universal access including mother & baby facilities at the public toilets in Market Yard, Tipperary Town. This will also include facilities for walkers and cyclists using the new and proposed walkways in the town.
I had asked the Tipperary County Council 2 years ago, to submit an application to upgrade the bathrooms, which they did, that one was unsuccessful. They then resubmitted an updated application for this year, which now has been approved," said Cllr Annemarie Ryan who welcomed the funding for the works.
