Ursuline host gymnastics competition with local schools

The Ursuline hosted its second gymnastics competition of the year on Tuesday, May 9 and was delighted that competitors from the Presentation Clonmel and Rockwell College were able to travel. The gymnasts performed individual floor routines in beginners, intermediate and advanced categories.

The Ursuline had three medalists on the day, Genevieve Ní Bhreacáin, who won bronze in the Beginners section and sisters Rachel and Florinéae O’Donnell, who picked up the silver and bronze, respectively in the advanced competition.

The Pres Clonmel won the Best Overall School Prize with impressive routines across all levels. Thanks so much to Karen from Kool School Gymnastics Club, who travelled to Thurles to judge, and to Ursuline PE teacher Ms Fahey who has done, so much to promote competitive gymnastics.
