WOW! Store manager in Tipperary praised for helping family with autism assistance dog
Store manager of Tesco in Clonmel, Martin Allen, has been dubbed an 'incredible gentleman' after the encounter.
A store manager in Tipperary has been praised by a family of two young boys with autism, for his helpfulness while they toured the store last weekend with an autism assistance dog.
The boys sister, Cara Darmody, posted online that her mother Noelle was on a training walk around Tesco with brother John's autism assistance dog, when the kind encounter took place.
"My Mum has just come home after an amazing experience in Clonmel Tesco. It was her first time on a training walk in the shop with John's autism assistance dog Crumble.
"The store manager, an incredible gentleman called Martin Allen, literally ran over to greet her, and he doesn't even know Mum.
"He told her how welcome they were in the store and that he & his staff would help her in any way they possibly could, and to take their time!! Mum says that it wasn't possible for a human being to be nicer to her!! The entire staff were smiling & greeting Crumble as he toured the store!!
"She later observed Martin chatting & smiling to other customers and helping his own staff to stack the shelves!! Maybe I'm living in a bubble, but l think this manager is AMAZING!!!"
Cara praised the manager saying: "Inclusion & Kindness at it's very best from an amazing manager!!! Well done Martin and Tesco Ireland."
