42 years celebrating the spirit of Christmas in Templemore
The Legion of Mary erected the crib in the town
Templemore Legion of Mary continued the tradition of erecting the Crib at the Town Hall for the 42nd consecutive year.
Councillor Eddie Moran facilitated the granting of permission by Thurles Templemore Municipality.
On Friday 16th December the Crib was blessed by Canon Conor Hayes, P.P. Templemore. He was joined by members of the Legion of Mary.
The occasion was enriched by the playing of traditional hymns by Joe Barry, Martin Fogarty and Ciaran Burns of The Thomas McDonagh Pipe Band.
Canon Hayes in his words of appreciation thanked the Legion of Mary for continuing the tradition of the real meaning of Christmas and praised the members of the local pipe band who have been associated with the annual blessing over many years.
