CAPTION: Paddy Pyke and Carol Kennedy On Thursday afternoon last, Presentation Secondary School, Ballingarry hosted a Career’s Afternoon for Transition and fifth year students. Ray Bolger, HR Manager from Clancy Construction, Nuala Gordon, SETU Waterford for Hospitality and Culinary Skills, Paddy Pyke and Carol Kennedy, Tipperary Fire Service and Gavin O’ Dwyer Tipperary ETB delivered engaging presentations on the career options and opportunities available within their sector. The variety in the presentations and the exploration of the many routes that are open were very appealing to the students. A primary aim of the afternoon’s presentations was to inform the students who may not want to go straight into training or into college, that there is a world of opportunities available to them. The school would like to thank each of the speakers who gave so generously of their time to share their passion, experience and knowledge with our students.
