The incident occurred on the M7 motorway between Birdhill and Nenagh

At least a dozen lorries were reportedly pulled in on the side of the M7 motorway between Birdhill and Nenagh in Tipperary last night after several windscreens were smashed by what was believed to have been youths who were throwing rocks at passing drivers on the Dublin-bound side of the road.

As well as the smashed windscreens, there was reportedly damage to the body of a number of the effected vehicles. Thankfully, no injuries have been reported.

An investigation has since been launched, a statement from An Garda Síochána said:

‘Shortly after 7.30pm on Wednesday 12th February, 2025, Gardaí responded to reports of stones being thrown at passing vehicles on the motorway.

‘Several HGVs were damaged in the course of the incidents.’
