Corpus Christi Procession will parade through Tipperary's largest town

Event will be held on Thursday June 4
The Corpus Christi Procession in Clonmel, scheduled for Thursday evening, June 4, will be led by Bishop Phonsie Cullinan.
It will start at 6pm from St Mary's Church, Irishtown.
This public procession will walk through the town to Ss Peter and Paul's Church and will last for approximately 40 minutes.
It will feature community groups, local politicians and children and representatives from the local and surrounding parishes.
Participants will include Banna Chluain Meala, the Legion of Mary, St Vincent de Paul and local community representatives.
All are very welcome to attend and join in the celebration.
It's hoped that children who have recently received the sacrament of First Holy Communion will come in their splendour and beautiful white dresses.
The Corpus Christi procession is a traditional Catholic public devotion, held on the feast day (often the Thursday or following Sunday after Trinity Sunday).
It serves as a public witness of faith, bringing the Eucharist outside the church building to bless the community.
