Council to decide on glamping pods application in Tipperary

Tipperary County Council have until November 3 to make a decision on whether to grant permission to the development of three glamping pods in Ardfinnan, Tipperary
An application has been lodged with Tipperary County Council for permission to build glamping pods in a rural area of Tipperary.
The applicants applied for permission to construct: three glamping pods, an amenity area including shower room and drying area attached to existing agricultural building, three parking spaces and bicycle parking.
The address of the development is Knockballiniry Td in Ardfinnan.
The applicants original application was previously deemed invalid by Tipperary County Council.
In a letter to the applicants outlining why the previous application was deemed invalid, the council said: “On inspection of the land to which the application relates on the 7th of August 2026, it was noted that the site notice in place related to a previous application on site.
“The application therefore does not comply with the provisions of Articles 17 and 19 of the Planning and Development Regulation 2001, as amended, as it does not adequately inform the public of the works proposed.”
The council have until November 3 to make a decision on whether to grant permission to the development.
