Games in all grades took place across the weekend

Thurles Sarsfields and Kiladangan will contest the Dan Breen cup final in Tipperary in two weeks time - Sunday October 15th at 4pm - after both won their matches with a bit to spare at the weekend.

The Cathedral town side had the skill in the rain to outclass Loughmore Castleiney on Saturday night with Darragh Stakelum and Ronan Maher to the fore for the winners who won out 1-22 to 2-12.

On Sunday afternoon Kiladangan had too much experience of the big stage and latter stages of the competition for a hardworking Toomevara side that stayed in the game but didn't have the firepower in the end. It finished 2-30 to 2-21.

Kilruane MacDonaghs were the better team in the relegation semi final and beat Upperchurch 2-18 to 0-20. Inthe other relegation semi final Clonoulty beat Brackens 1-18 to 1-15.

The Premier Intermediate semi final between Thurles Sarsfields second team and Kiladangan went down to the last puck of the ball and in the end the efficiency of the Sarsfields forwards such as Jack Lanigan and Rory Purcell saw them through 2-21 to 3-13.

Michael Cahill was immense at centre back for a Sarsfields side that, with the same management as the senior team, will be involved in two finals on county final weekend as the O'Riain Premier Intermediate final and the Dan Breen senior final will be held on Saturday and Sunday respectively.

Sarsfields second team will play either Cashel King Cormacs or Lorrha Dorrha but that semi final was postponed as GAA stalwart Timmy Moloney RIP passed away in Cashel. The refixture is in Toomevara next Sunday at 2.30pm.

In the Intermediate grade Boherlahan beat Moneygall 1-12 to 0-12 and Golden Kilfeackle beat Kilsheelan Kilcash 1-21 to 2-12.

Clonoulty beat JK Brackens 3-19 to 0-17 while Ballinahinch beat Holycross 4-14 to 1-13 in the Junior A semi finals.
