Families, young and old, took part in the annual walk to the Holy Year Cross

The special tradition of the annual walk to the Holy Year Cross overlooking Clonmel was maintained on Monday.

Families, young and old, began their walk to the Holy Year Cross in plenty of time to arrive in advance of 11am Mass.

As always, the altar was in beautiful condition and good weather welcomed the large group of people who availed of the opportunity to keep this much-loved tradition alive on the Bank Holiday Monday.

It is a special event for the people of the town and all who take part deeply appreciate the hard work undertaken by a group of dedicated volunteers and the wider Old Bridge community who make this day possible.
