Clonoulty Rossmore Vintage Club will host their Christmas Festival on December 13

The festive season is set to sparkle in Clonoulty this Saturday, December 13, as the Clonoulty Rossmore Vintage Club gears up for its much-anticipated Annual Christmas Festival.

The event, a favourite in the local calendar, promises a magical day out for all the family, all in support of local charities.

This year’s festival, which is kindly supported by Tipperary County Council, welcomes back over 30 traders to a bustling Christmas market.

Local crafters, artists and food producers will be offering a huge range of unique gifts, homemade treats, and festive crafts—perfect for ticking off your Christmas shopping list.

Younger visitors will be delighted by the enchanting live crib, bringing the nativity story to life and adding a traditional touch to the celebrations.

Santa will also be on hand with treats for all his visitors.

One of the festival’s highlights is the spectacular Truck and Tractor Christmas Light Run.

This dazzling procession of decorated vehicles will make its way from Clonoulty through Boherlahan and onto Cashel, lighting up the winter night and spreading the festive cheer across the community. All types of vehicles are welcome to take part.

Registration will open at 4pm with the first vehicles departing on the run at 5pm.

This year, Shane MacLaughlin, known as “The Blade of Glory”, will attempt to pull a fully loaded truck up the road in Clonoulty village.

Shane is an amputee who has an incredible record of being a three times Guinness World Record Breaker.

He will take on the challenge of pulling, under his own strength, an incredible load of almost 70 tons.

Come along to witness this extraordinary feat of strength and community spirit.

Beyond the festivities, the heart of the event is its dedication to supporting local charities.

Every euro raised will go directly to causes making a real difference in the community.

The chosen charities this year are Suir Haven, Pallottine Missions and Young at Heart.

Whether you’re shopping for one-of-a-kind gifts, marvelling at the sparkling light run, or cheering on “The Blade of Glory”, the Clonoulty Rossmore Vintage Club’s Christmas Festival has something for everyone and is the perfect way to kick off your festive season.

Bring your friends and family, support local traders and join in the fun all for a great cause.

The Christmas market is open from 4pm and the Man V Truck Challenge will take place at approximately 6: 30pm.
