Mass will be celebrated at famous well in Tipperary

St Patrick’s Well believed to be the earliest link with christianity in the Clonmel area
The annual Mass at St Patrick’s Well in Clonmel will be celebrated at 8pm on this Thursday evening, June 25.
Those who require seating are reminded that they must bring their own.
In the current good weather, a large congregation is expected to attend.
All are welcome.
With a cross that dates from the seventh century, St Patrick’s Well is believed to be the earliest link with christianity in the Clonmel area.
Every year the well and surrounding area, a peaceful, tranquil haven located in the Marlfield area, just a couple of miles from Clonmel’s town centre, attracts thousands of visitors of all faiths, and none.
The well is named after Ireland’s patron saint, who is believed to have visited the site in the fifth century.
