The gardaí in Tipperary have reminded people to be on the alert for online scams after a large quantity on money was taken from one individual's account.

Sgt Declan O’Carroll of Nenagh Garda Station revealed that one woman had €3,500 taken from her account when she clicked a link put up online by criminals.

Meanwhile, a business in the Nenagh District had its email hacked recently and another individual had money stolen from a Revolute account after clicking on a scam link.
