Good news!

The former Glove Factory in James Street, Tipperary Town is undergoing major refurbishment and the project is coming along nicely.

The plan is to reuse the building for four apartments and a commercial space.

A figure of €163,000 was allocated for the project in 2022 under the historic towns initiative.

The building has been vacant for almost 50 years and is a protected structure. There has been a great welcome for the work and for seeing the building being brought back into use.

Prior to Christmas I had the opportunity to take a couple of pictures of the building and to see the great work on the return of the stonework to its original state and on the original windows also.

It is great to see the work progressing and well done to Abercorn Developments on the renovation works to date.

We look forward to seeing their works on the Irish House on the Main Street which is also progressing well and it will be a huge boost to the town and the entire area when completed.
