Pedestrian crossing on the cards for road near busy school in Tipperary

Raised speed table and lane width reduction are also among the proposals
A controlled pedestrian crossing, a raised speed table and lane width reduction are among the proposals being developed for the Coleville Road, Clonmel outside Loreto Secondary School.
District Administrator Carol Creighton told a meeting of Clonmel Borough District that these proposals were being developed by the Active Travel section of Tipperary County Council as part of the Safe Routes to School Scheme.
It’s anticipated that the scheme will be submitted for part eight planning permission soon.
The pedestrian crossing and traffic calming measures were requested by Cllr Siobhán Ambrose.
