The cross marks spring’s arrival and is believed to protect against misfortune. Placing one above the door invites hope and blessing.
The Feast of St Brigid, honoring one of Ireland’s three beloved patron saints, is celebrated on February 1st. This cherished occasion is now marked by a Bank Holiday, which will be observed on Monday, February 2nd this year.
