SYS Financial has announced the acquisition of long-established advisory firm Q Financial

One of Ireland’s leading financial advisory firms, SYS Financial, has announced the acquisition of Q Financial.

Q Financial is a long-established advisory firm based in Claregalway, County Galway. The firm, provides a comprehensive range of financial services including pensions, investment management, life insurance, mortgages, retirement planning and wealth management. Its ‘UnlockPension.ie’ proprietary asset will upgrade service capability for SYS Financial’s clients.

Tony Delaney, CEO of SYS Financial, said: “Successful acquisitions aren't just about growth, they're about people. We look for talented teams who put clients first every day and who have earned the trust of their local communities. That's exactly what Q Financial has built in Galway over many years, and it's why we're so pleased to welcome the team to SYS Financial. Our priority is to support them with the people, technology and resources they need to continue delivering the trusted advice their clients value."

This procurement builds on SYS Financial’s plans to scale its presence nationwide and adds €120 million to the firm’s client assets under management (AUM), now totalling over €1.12 billion.

As part of the transaction, ten members of the Q Financial team, comprising financial planners and business support staff, will transfer to SYS Financial, and the Claregalway office will remain open.

Clients of Q Financial will continue to receive the personalised financial advice they value, with the added benefit of access to SYS Financial’s wider team of specialists.

The purchase of Q Financial is SYS Financial’s 10th acquisition since 2025. Further transactions are currently under discussion.

This news comes amid the appointment of five-time All-Ireland winning Limerick hurler Tom Morrissey and Paddy Durcan, senior Mayo footballer, as Senior Financial Planners at the firm.
