2. Glen Loughnane (Roscrea) Less than 12 months ago, Loughnane was lining out at Junior C level for Roscrea which makes his performance against Loughmore even more noteworthy. He played well all game and hit two wonderful points from distance when the game was on the line.

3. Denis Maher (Thurles Sarsfields) There has been plenty of debate throughout the year as to whether or not Maher is being best utilised at full back, but his recent performances have certainly proven Padraic Maher right. He was immense against Drom & Inch and kept a very potent full forward line quiet all game.

4. Liam Ryan (Toomevara) Robert Doyle was the big danger man for Toomevara going into this game, having scored 0-6 from play against Mullinahone, and Liam Ryan was the man to keep him under wraps. And that he did, playing very well to keep Doyle to just 0-1 and played an awful lot of ball himself. Excellent display.

5. Stephen Maher (Thurles Sarsfields) Musha has been on and off the first team fairly regularly over the years, but he is producing his best these days and was very impressive in the win over Drom & Inch. Along with Denis, he was dominant in the 50/50s and even bagged a rare point from distance under the old stand.
