1. Barry Hogan (Kiladangan) One of the steadiest goalies in the county, everything he did on Sunday oozed confidence and assuredness. His restarts are rarely misplaced and he made himself available as an out ball from defence constantly. Could do nothing about Aidan McCormack’s early goal.

14. Tommy Heffernan (Nenagh Éire Óg) A lot of responsibility fell on Tommy Heffernan last weekend with the talismanic figure of Jake Morris consigned to the sidelines against Drom & Inch, and he delivered a performance of old as he tormented Michael Campion and co all game long. He was unremarkable, with his movement and finishing reminiscent of his unreal form of recent years which had deserted him. FInished with 1-5 in a losing cause.

15. Mikey O'Shea (Mullinahone) O’Shea helped Mullinahone to a priceless opening win on Sunday and pilfered 2-1 in the game. His pick ups and finishes for both goals were clinical, but more than that, he had a presence and workrate that really gave his team a platform to build attacks around. Played well.
