1. Darragh Egan (Kiladangan) Once again, Egan is proving to be a very useful asset to the club's second team, as he had another good outing in the narrow loss to the Silvermines. He made a great save from a Jason Forde shot in the first half, while his puckouts caused havoc throughout.

2. Edward Ryan (Silvermines) Ryan was part of a defensive unit that had to be at their best in a tight contest against Kiladangan. The corner back was very assured all game, and even chipped in with what proved to be a big point from play in a close finish.

3. Ronan Sherlock (Silvermines) Had his hands full at times with big Ciaran Kelly beside him as Darragh Egan lumped bomb after bomb into the square, but he held firm in a full back line that had to be at its best. A great clubman for the 'Mines.

4. Stephen Maher (Thurles Sarsfields) Part of a team effort that completely stifled a poor Killenaule effort last weekend, Maher had a stormer and was constantly on the ball and looked hungry throughout. A top performance.

5. Brian Carey (Sean Treacys) Carey was part of a Sean Treacys defense that was incredibly mean for some 50 minutes, and when the game reached an unlikely tight finish, Carey came out with a lot of big possessions, playing a captains role.
